Every person alive today can trace ancestry back to Africa. It's the one (and only) continent that unifies us. There's something exceptional about the inherent pull of Africa. The sun rises and sets differently here. UNESCO World Heritage sites have reached the tipping point in Africa where we lose more sites to civil unrest, natural disasters and modern development than present safeguarding can protect. It is at this crisis point we enter. To create the boldest preservation, conservation and tourism development project in Sub Saharan Africa that would not only reverse the deterioration of the continent's most endangered sites to their former glory but take the long road to educating local communities to manage them, exclusively. Then we walk away. You don't have to be a scholar of history to experience a deep, thrilling sense of curiosity in who we are and where we come from. Though we would argue the boundless knowledge of World Heritage sites is as life fulfilling as chasing the rains of Serengeti. Join us for the first ever UNESCO Africa Expedition. The journey will travel through the lost cities of pre-colonial Africa. We are truly, madly and deeply devoted to that period in history. We believe the story of our beginnings and thus answers to our humanity and the meaning of it all -- are all found here. Don't be afraid. We are taking you home.

Welcome to the Next Generation of Conservation

We’d like to introduce you to Preservation Africa Fund, a new conservation organization devoted exclusively to the preservation of some of the world’s most significant yet abandoned Cultural UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Africa. Together, we are transforming the way everyone, everywhere returns Home.
